Panguitch High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Football Coach to lead our brand-new 8-person football program. This is an exciting opportunity to build a program from the ground up, shaping the future of football at Panguitch High School and inspiring our student-athletes to excel both on and off the field.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive football program tailored to 8-person football.
• Build a strong, positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Plan and conduct effective practices focusing on skill development, game strategy, and player safety.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop student-athletes in grades 9-12, encouraging academic achievement and physical fitness.
• Organize and oversee game-day operations, including travel arrangements, equipment, and communication with officials.
• Ensure adherence to all UHSAA, district, and school policies regarding eligibility, safety, and competition.
• Engage with the local community to foster support and excitement for the program, including coordinating fundraising efforts.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience: experience with 8-person football is a plus.
• Strong understanding of football strategy, safety protocols, and player development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with school administration, staff, and community stakeholders.
