Full-Time Classified Position at Boulder Elementary
POSITION AVAILIABLE:
Garfield County School District is hiring a full-time classified position for Boulder Elementary School beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. This position may combine the duties of a para-professional, custodian, food service manager & bus driver. This is a benefitted position, working 40 hours per week during the school year; and includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.
SALARY:
Position will be compensated at the beginning Para-Professional, Custodian, Food Service Manager & Bus Driver hourly rate according to the 2024-2025 Classified Salary Schedule related to the duties performed within the day. Summer hours and days will be adjusted to reflect summer schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least a high school diploma. Preference will be given to those applicants with previous education, custodial/maintenance, food service, and bus driving experience. Applicants, upon hiring, must be fingerprinted and pass an employment background check. Applicants must work well with children.
Para-Professional – Work with students throughout the school day. Applicant will need two years of college education or may complete the Para Pro Test to become highly qualified.
Custodian – Perform a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties in and around school facilities to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment at BES. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and respond to emergency calls for custodial assistance.
Food Service Manager – Serve Safe Certification and food handler’s permit is preferred and will be required upon hiring. District Food Service Director on menu planning and other items. Upon hiring, the manager will work with food vendors to order food, maintain required records, and provide a safe & healthy environment ready for Health Department inspections and end of year monitoring visits.
Bus Driver – Applicant will drive bus route in Boulder Community. The successful applicant must have or be willing to get a current CDL; which includes a school bus driving endorsement, passenger endorsement and complete all required training.
