Full-Time Business Teacher at Bryce Valley High
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable full-time Business Teacher at Bryce Valley High School in Tropic, Utah, for the 2025-2026 school year.
SALARY:
Beginning Step and Lane according to 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Certified Salary Schedule. Salary based on skill, education, and experience. This is a benefited position, working 157-day contract/4 days a week; and includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement engaging business curriculum to students, focusing on key topics such as entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and management.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects.
- Cultivate a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and respectful debate.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students on business-related projects and career development.
- Stay up to date with trends and changes in the business world to bring real-world relevance to the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and professional development opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have or be capable of obtaining a Utah teaching license & needed endorsements within the time frame set by the board of education. Applicants must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check. Preference will be given to teachers who are qualified to teach multiple content areas.
