Prevent Child Abuse Utah
Recent legislation required that school districts offer child sexual abuse prevention and awareness training to school personnel and also parents or guardians of elementary school students. With help from the Utah State Board of Education we now have those resources available from Prevent Child Abuse Utah.

The site will ask for you to register and identify if you are a parent or school personnel. When you complete the course you will get a certificate of completion.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This training is a great way to join the community in working to learn about abuse and effective ways to prevent it in our area.
For district staff who complete the training, please make sure you email the certificate to pcau@garfk12.org.
